Paneer is the fresh cottage cheese used in India. Paneer bhurji is scrambled paneer. There are many dishes made from paneer, but the most simple and yummy dish is paneer bhurji. It can be served with roti, paratha and bread toast.
My husband was never a big fan of paneer, until he tasted paneer bhurji 😊

How to make Paneer Bhurji
Ingredients
Paneer (grated) – 250 gm
Onion (finely chopped) – 2 (small)
Tomato (finely chopped) – 1
Green Chilly (finely chopped) – 3
Ginger & Garlic (finely chopped) – 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 3/4 tsp
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Directions
- Place a pan on the stove and add 2 tbsp of oil.
- Once the oil is hot add 2 finely chopped onion, 1 1/2 tsp of finely chopped ginger & garlic and mix them.
- Add 3 finely chopped green chilly and mix it.
- Add 3/4 tsp of salt and saute for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and 3/4 tsp of coriander powder and mix.
- Add finely chopped tomato and saute.
- Once the tomato is sauteed, add 250 gm of grated paneer and mix it well.
- Mix the paneer well to make sure there are no big lumps.
- Add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix.
- Paneer Bhurji is ready to serve.
