Chicken croquette is a simple snack that tastes great. I tasted chicken croquettes for the first time at a restaurant here in Ireland and I loved it. And I made it at home, finding out ingredients based on the taste. I am sure you will like it. It is great while served with green salad, mayonnaise and tomato ketchup.

How to make Chicken Croquettes
Ingredients
Boneless Chicken – 300 gm
Spring Onion (finely chopped) – 1/4 cup
Garlic (finely chopped) – 1/4 tsp
Ginger (finely chopped) – 1/4 tsp
Green Chilly (finely chopped) – 1/4 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Potato (cooked & mashed) – 100 gm
Egg White – 1
Lime Juice – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Bread Crumbs
Oil – to fry
Water
Directions
- To cook the chicken, place a pot on the stove and add the chicken pieces and water.
- Add 1/4 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp of pepper powder. Mix and let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked, take it off from the stove.
- Once the cooked chicken is cooled down, mince it.
- Add finely chopped spring onion 1/4 cup, 1/4 tsp of green chilly, 1/4 tsp of garlic, 1/4 tsp of ginger, 1 tsp of pepper powder, 3/4 tsp of salt into the minced chicken.
- Add 100gm of mashed potato, 1 tbsp of bread crumbs and 1/2 tsp of lime juice.
- Mix everything well. Do not over mix it
- Make the croquette balls.
- Dip the croquette balls in egg white and coat it with bread crumbs.
- Croquette balls are ready to fry.
- Fry the croquette balls in hot oil. While frying them, the oil must be hot and it must be on medium-high flame/temperature.
- Turn them in between.
- Once the croquettes turn crisp, take them out from the oil. It would take only 3-4 minutes to get the croquettes fried.
- Fry all the croquette balls like this.
- Chicken croquettes are ready to be served with green salad, mayonnaise and tomato ketchup.
