How to make Masoor Dal Vada
Ingredients
Masoor Dal – 1 cup
Onion (finely chopped) – 3/4 cup
Green Chilly (finely chopped) – 1 1/2 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) – 1/4 cup
Curry Leaves (chopped) – 2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp

Directions
- Masoor dal has to be soaked in water for alomst 1 hour. After an hour, drain the water completely and grind it coarsely.
- The texture of dal after grinding must be grainy. Do not add water while grinding.
- To this mixture, add 3/4 cup of finely chopped onion, 2 tbsp of curry leaves, 1 tsp of ginger and 1/4 cup of coriander leaves.
- Add 3/4 tsp of salt and mix it.
- Check the salt and add salt if needed. With this, masoor dal mixture is ready to fry.
- Take a small portion of the dal mixture. Roll and flatten it with your finger and fry it in the hot oil.
- Flip the vadas in between.
- Once vadas are crisp and golden brown, take it out from the oil.
- Masoor dal vada is ready to serve with chutney.
