Paratha is one of the popular North Indian breakfast. It has many varieties like stuffed paratha, layered paratha, plain paratha etc. Out of these, one of the easiest and the one which is a trend now is No Knead Paratha. In this paratha we do not need to knead the dough, instead we make a batter with plain flour, salt, sugar, oil, water and the add the veggies. Once the batter is ready, it is poured on the pan and cooked.
In this I am making paratha in two ways, with and without egg. If you like, you can replace plain flour with wheat flour. I made this paratha with grated carrots, chopped spring onion and green chilly. Green chilly would give our paratha a spicy kick.

How to make Eggless Paratha
What you’ll need
Plain Flour – 1 cup
Milk – 1/2 cup
Carrot (grated) – 1 1/2 tbsp
Spring Onion (finely chopped) – 2 1/2 tbsp
Green Chilly (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 1/2 tsp
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Oil – 4 tsp
Water – 3/4 cup + 3 tbsp
How to cook it
- To make the batter for paratha, add 1 cup of plain flour into a bowl.
- Add 3/4 tsp of salt, 1 1/2 tsp of sugar, 4 tsp of oil and 1/2 cup of milk.
- Add nearly 3/4 + 3 tbsp of water and make a smooth batter.
- To this batter add 1 tsp of finely chopped green chilli, 2 1/2 tbsp of spring onion and 1 1/2 tbsp of grated carrots and mix it well.
- Batter to make paratha is ready.
- Spread oil on a pan at this point the stove should be on medium-high heat.
- Pour 1 1/2 ladle of batter and spread the batter by rotating the pan.
- Once the top of the paratha is dry, drizzle oil and flip it.
- Flip it again and gently press it with the spatula.
- Once paratha is ready, take it off from the pan.
- Make the rest of the parathas in the same way.
- Eggless paratha is ready to serve.
How to make Paratha with egg
What you’ll need
Plain Flour – 1 cup
Egg – 2
Milk – 1/4 cup
Spring Onion (finely chopped) – 2 1/4 tbsp
Green Chilly (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
Carrot (grated) – 1 1/2 tbsp
Oil – 4 tsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Water – 3/4 cup
How to cook it
- To make the batter for paratha, add 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of milk, 3/4 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of sugar, 4 tsp of oil and 1 cup of plain flour into a blender.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and blend it.
- To make a smooth batter add 1/4 cup more water while blending. Transfer the batter into a bowl.
- To this batter add 1 tsp of finely chopped green chilli, 2 1/4 tbsp of spring onion and 1 1/2 tbsp of grated carrot and mix it well.
- Batter is ready to make the paratha.
- Spread oil on a pan and at this point the stove should be on medium-high heat.
- Pour 1 1/2 ladle of batter and spread the batter as shown. Cook it on medium- high heat.
- Once the top of the paratha is dry, drizzle oil and flip it.
- Flip it again and gently press it with the spatula.
- Once paratha is ready, take it off from the pan.
- Prepare the rest of the parathas in the same way.
- Paratha is ready to serve.
